My summer style in a nutshell: easy breezy.
I’m off to the beach in northern Italy. See you next week!
Today I found an unlabeled CD while I was looking to play some music to entertain my baby daughter. Turns out it was a blast from the past from my riot grrl days.
Anyways, I’m glad to report it put Anna right to sleep so much more than mellower stuff. That’s my girl!
And just for the record I have a rare picture of me from those years. So fun.
Thank you so much to MC of Pearls, diamonds and everything else for surprising me by nominating my blog for the One Lovely Blog Award. I’m not sure what the award is actually about. I tried to find some information around the web but was unable to. It still seems like an opportunity to do something nice, though. So here we go.
Thank the person who nominated you

I enjoy reading your blogs, ladies!
The sun is out! Hopefully the 8-month winter is over.
How basic can you get? Streamlining your closet is essential when you’ve got 20 minutes to get dressed and groomed before your newborn wakes up and starts screaming! So here are my life-savers.
A go-with everything denim shirt.
White denim, always crisp.
Red Hunter wellies worn with skirts, jeans, everything!
Nude flats for the mama on the go, elongate even the pastiest legs.
Stylish parka: pulling up a hood is way easier than holding an umbrella with a baby in your arms.
J crew’s dress up, dress down mini.
High waisted dark wash jeans you’ll want to throw on day in and day out.
A bright bag for an instant pick-me-up.
Finally, a gold watch to add an understated splash of glitz to any outfit. Mine was a first mother’s day gift. I feel so special every time I look at it!
