In Italy, weddings don’t have themes. People go to church or to city hall, and that’s that. Then they sit down for a long meal and call it a day.
When the wedding planning process began I was pretty much opposed to the idea of having a “theme”, or even picking out colors.
Since then, I’ve changed my mind. I wouldn’t go as far as saying we have a theme; it’s more of a thread I follow, of things that are meaningful to our story.
